When we devote ourselves to Christ, it provides clarity and removes confusion. A life devoted requires intimacy in our relationship with our Creator. It involves using our head, hands and heart to receive our promises promised by God and only through Him, we will be enabled to be rooted and built up in Him, as God strengthened us to live a life of devotion and faith waiting upon Him. But how do we know what a devoted heart looks like?
In Psalms 138, we can see that a devoted heart is thankful and praises the Lord; it is respectful, humble and certain of God’s promises. A devoted heart uses prayer and trust to build our relationships with God and it also protects us during our hardships.
Living a devoted life can be challenging, but the rewards outweigh the trials we face today.
Psalm 138 : 1 - 5
I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; before the “gods” I will sing your praise. I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your unfailing love and your faithfulness, for you have so exalted your solemn decree that it surpasses your fame. When I called, you answered me; you greatly emboldened me. May all the kings of the earth praise you, Lord, when they hear what you have decreed. May they sing of the ways of the Lord, for the glory of the Lord is great.
