Just as you were created to share with others, whether it be your time, finances, talents or interceding on people’s behalf. You may say you have nothing to give, however, God asks you to give of what you have, not what you don’t have.
You can simply say a few words of encouragement. Just give what little you can. Just as the widow helped feed Elijah with her small jar of oil and flour even though she did not have enough for herself and her son to last the drought. By faith she followed Elijah’s instructions and as Elijah had predicted, the jar of oil and flour never ran out until the day the drought ended. If you bless others, God’s blessings will overflow in your life. It is better to give than to receive. A little goes a long way.
I Kings 17:16
For the jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry, in keeping with the word of the LORD spoken by Elijah.
Acts 20:35
In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.
