The little girl sang with enthusiasm in the Broadway musical show ‘Annie’. The orphan girl named Annie sang with a beaming smile; convinced that the sun will come out tomorrow and when there is sorrow and the day’s gray, she will clear the cobwebs, stick out her chin and grin.
The song portrays a hopeful and optimistic view in life through its main theme – “hang on.” Though Annie does not have all that she wanted, she knows that tomorrow holds a better promise; the sun will shine again and the day will no longer be gray nor it will bear any sorrow.
Do we bless the name of the Lord and sing praises to the Lord, our God because we know He has a sunny tomorrow for us? When the day is gray and full of sorrow or hopelessness, do we plan to stick out our chin and grin; knowing full well that God’s plan will not fail and that His purpose to turn all evil for good will always prevail? Like the famous quote we often read – Don’t worry about tomorrow for God has already been there.
Any evil that the devil mean for our harm will have no strength against the power of our Sovereign Lord. Let’s stick out our chin and grin even when the day is gray because surely God will always rise the sun tomorrow for you and me. Have faith in God.
Genesis 50:20 NKJV
But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.
