Being with the Vine does not mean that there is no pain. There will be the hardness of winter, the scorching sun of summer and the falling leaves of autumn but for as long as you are attached to the True Vine, you will always have hope and be fruitful in all areas of your life.
You may have been pruned and you are ‘looking less’ but you don’t have to go through the mundane motion of everyday life and just exist to make it ‘through another day’.
As we are attached to the True Vine, we are connected to a living source who is able to cause us to flourish and produce fruits. The pruning will cause you to bear more fruits so be of a good cheer when you have been pruned and you are ‘looking less’ because it is an indication that you are producing fruits and the True Vine promises that you will produce even more.
John 15: 1-4
I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.
