Last weekend, I had a reunion with my University friends. They are dear to me and after so many years apart from one another living in different countries, I expect to hear good news about their lives, I would like to know that they are well and living happily.
My heart sank when I realised that some of their lives are quite messed up now. My biggest regret is that I did not bring them to love the Lord when I was given the privilege to spend a lot of time with them. I just enjoyed having them as my friends and did not care much about their spirituality. And I thought I was being a good friend.
People need God in their lives. They need His word to enlighten their path, so they won't be lost. They need God as their most faithful friend, the only one who is always there and will carry them through any situation in life. If you are a good friend, bring your friends to the Lord. While you have the chance to be around the people that you love, bring them to know God.
Deutronomy 6:6-7
And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently ... and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up
