Recently, after a holiday, I cleaned my wardrobe thoroughly and gathered piles of clothing and things to give away for donation. It’s ironic because some of the things wrapped away used to be ‘treasures’ for me but now some of them are broken, faded or I no longer see any value in keeping them.
Have you taken time lately to look around the clutters in your wardrobe or home? Do you have those old ‘treasures’ that you still keep but most of them are just gathering dust?
What we believe to be treasures can be misleading. Real treasures do not break, fade over time, gather dust and it cannot be taken from you. Love, loyalty, faithfulness, forgiveness are some of the deeds that please God and are all stored in Heaven; no one will be able to take them from you.
De- clutter your earthly treasures and gather your treasures in Heaven .
Matthew 6:20
But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
