“Do you have a gift” this is a phrase we often hear as Christmas is fast approaching. It made me ponder on what would Jesus think if He were in the same room as I was. What would it mean if He were to be the One who ask me the question?
As a Believer, Holy Spirit has given us talents. Don’t hide it out of false humility or the misconception that you are never good enough to use it to bless others around you. Are you good at making people laugh? Are you good at baking/cooking with minimal ingredients? Do you have green thumbs? Perhaps you are a good communicator with children or you are a gifted with craft making? Each of these are gifts you could use to bring glory to God. Do not dismiss any talents you may have no matter how insignificant you may deem them to be. Determine your God given gift and share that gift to others.
Please remember that nothing could be given in perfection or of utmost quality but everything gets better with practice, trust the Lord as you learn to improve your gift/ talent.
1 Peter 4: 11
If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
