During our days, sometimes we are so overwhelmed by our work and feel overwhelmed or exhausted by it. If we have joy and peace in your heart, we have received our reward from God but if we feel otherwise, we need to assess our heart and mind to discern if what we are doing aligns with God’s will for us; whether it keeps us in an ongoing relationship with God or pushes us away from it.
God is faithful. He knows each of our needs and His will for us is that we will experience His goodness and loving kindness all the days of our lives. In our good and bad days, Jesus is still God, a good God. Our circumstances will never change His identity: as our God and our fortress in days of trouble. Let us take time every day to approach His throne of grace to examine our hearts. Have our lives be occupied with things we should take care of or have we been preoccupied with things that God never intends for us to be preoccupied with?
My prayer for us is that may God give us strength and wisdom to get them done well, the things we should be occupied, for His name’s sake. May God touch our heart and grant us wisdom to enable us to cast all our preoccupation to Him, to experience Him as our good God and protector in day of our trouble.
