A logo is such a simple little icon. Yet, there may have been countless of hours and thinking that had gone into the design process. I had the opportunity to watch (and even give input) during the design of a business logo.
Every line, shade of color, font size, thickness and angle was designed purposefully. The logo needed to carry meaning, originality, memorability and be aesthetically pleasing.
It reminded me of the way God had made us. The bible describes you and I as being fearfully and wonderfully made. The word in Hebrew for fearful is "yare", meaning to inspire awe, respect, honor and reverence. Perhaps a little like looking up at majestic Mount Everest! The word in Hebrew for wonderful is "Palau", meaning wonderfully set apart, distinguished, special.
You were created with the utmost care and with great thought. You were created to be respected, honored, set apart and distinguished! Now this is who you really are!
Psalm 139:13, 14
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
