During the Bible times, when an attack was planned against the city, the first strategy generally involved bringing down the city’s stronghold, breaking down the gates and then defeating the inhabitants. Today, we are all at war with our enemy, the devil!
When you acknowledge that fact and is vigilant on any form of his attacks, victory is possible. This is the Good News you should acknowledge as well; that we have the weapons to overcome the stronghold of the devil in our life but we must put on the whole armor of God. This is not something we take up and take off anytime as we please but it is an armor that we must keep on having on for our enemy never gives up. The devil will continue attacking the stronghold of our mind anytime, any day; to break down any gates and we as believers are able to deflect all attacks with the power of God.
In all circumstances, praise the Lord for it is the garment that protects you (Isaiah 61:3). Walk with the Lord; abiding in Him everyday as your source of fruitfulness and spiritual growth being fully assured of your salvation and remember the power of God’s Words – it is sharper than any two edged swords and it has the power to overcome any lies or strategies of the devil. Lastly, remain in communion with other believers; walking in love, encouraging one another. Bring forth and put on your weapons for we are an over-comer in Christ!
