God freely gives us His mercy: an action. And what is our reaction to His action? Praise - and may it be equal to the weight of His mercy in our lives! It is God’s very nature to give his children mercy and grace - but not because we deserve it. “His mercy endures forever”- and forever is a long time. There is no expiration date.
Why does God do this for us? Simply because He loves us. God sends a sunrise every morning, He listens when we talk, and He gave us his only Son at Christmas. how can we react to God’s infinitely gracious actions? With our praises. By worshiping Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. No, that reaction can never equal God’s generosity; thankfully, He is more concerned about our hearts than about the laws of physics.
Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy. From the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.
Psalm 107:1–3
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story - those He redeemed from the hand of the foe, those he gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south
