Lucy then says to Linus, “Go get me a glass of water.” Without moving a muscle, Linus asks, “Why should I do anything for you? You never do anything for me.” “On your 75th birthday, I’ll bake you a cake,” Lucy promises. Linus gets up, heads to the kitchen and says, “Life is better when you have hope.”
The bible says hope is the anchor of the soul and the dictionary defines hope as a confident expectation that something desired will happen.
Abraham hoped against hope and he received his breakthrough. We don’t have to wait for our circumstances to change to start hoping again, you can start by choosing to think better thoughts; hopeful thoughts.
To start thinking better thoughts is a decision and if you have encountered a few disappointments in life, don’t start to expect the same cycle to happen to you again. If you do so, you have fallen to the enemy’s trap and it will close the door for God to turn things around in your life.
Decide again to have hope as we are placing our hope on a perfect God, not on our human abilities. Dare to hope against hope and be confident that something desired will happen.
Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fills you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
