In Perth, this is the season where lemon trees produce fruit. In my neighbourhood, there must be half a dozen heavily-laden lemon trees in people's backyards. Someone had left a basket of plump, ripe lemons with a simple hand-written sign that read, "FREE! Take what you need!"
Do you know that God too, holds a sign that says "FREE! Take what you need!". Feeling weary? Disappointed? Confused? Tired? Hurt? Anxious? Incomplete?
Let's take time to stop by the cross of Christ and take His victory, take His forgiveness, take His love, take His healing, take His refreshing, take His peace, take His wisdom...we can take everything that we need! He has paid the price on our behalf and and now, it's completely free! What a wonderfully amazing God we have!
Romans 8:31 - 32
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
