The phrase “Here I am” means that “I’m ready Lord, use me.” Most of the time however, as Christians, we have lots of excuses such as, “I am not holy enough,” “I’m not capable,” “I’m young,” “I can’t talk well” and many more are often uttered when we are given the opportunity to say “Here I am Lord.”
Remember this, the next time you feel like God can’t use a person like you, just remember…
Abraham was too old… Jacob was a liar… Noah was a drunk… Joseph was abused… David was a murderer… Isaac was a daydreamer… Moses stuttered in his speech… Gideon was afraid… Jonah ran from God… Job went bankrupt… Peter denied Christ… Zaccheus was too small and Lazarus was DEAD!
God can use us to our full potential. Besides, we are not the message, we are the messenger. God never asks for your ability or inability, what He asks for is our avaibility. The next time God calls us, let us answer “Here I am, Lord”
Exodus 3:4
When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!” And Moses said, “Here I am."
