I pray, Lord

I cannot run, nor hide from you; I’ve tried. Your goodness, your love, it follows me; it knows not when to stop.

It’s true; nothing in all creation can separate me from your love. Well, if that’s how it’s going to be, mind actually helping me?

Guide me along the right paths; but don’t be idle, run with me!
As I come through the darkest valley, light up the way, please, I can’t see.
But you can, for you are light and even the darkness will not be dark for you.

When I start to fear, comfort me and be evident in my life.
For you my Lord knows my anxious thoughts and only you can set me free.
My perfect love that cast out all fear, give strength to my steps; walk with me.

Take this as my prayer and my request in this silence Lord.
I will wait for you; I’ll be strong, I’ll take heart.
For I will say, “you are my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
And you will say, “I love you, and I will rescue you, you who acknowledge my name.”

Psalm 46: 1-2
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.
