We just had our children's camp and 4 week leading up to it, it was all systems go! My time was dedicated to camp, camp, more camp, Sunday service, pastoral meetings, family and friends. I didn't allow myself time to stop and be still.
Praise God for His divine intervention! Two weeks out from camp I found myself breaking down into a heap when I get home at a ridiculous hour. I could not fall asleep unless I unload, unless I give everything over to God and give Him the worship that He deserves. Then in the morning, if I didn't wake up and go straight to the foot of the cross and pray and seek God for his direction and council, my day would fall apart and I'd be crying in a heap again before I'd open my front door.
I can testify to God providing for me financially when I had nothing. Now, I can testify that even though I have what I need, without God, I have nothing. He is my everything and anything that I need or could ever want is in Him. I need to surrender everything to Him, everyday.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
