When I find myself disappointed at God, I realized I focused too much on seeking HIS hand instead of HIS face. Instead of trusting that HE has my best interest in mind, I withdrew myself from God because HE did not give me what I wanted or prayed for.
As blunt as it may sound, that is how some of us react when we are disappointed at God. We run away and allow doubt to stop us from trusting God completely.
Trusting that God has a good plan for us and that our every step is directed by HIM is one of the keys to preventing disappointment to swell. Another one would be seeking HIS face more than HIS hand; to run to HIM in your pain than away from HIM.
Wouldn't it sound silly if we were to tell the person that we are in relationship with, that we will stop seeing them if they don’t do things according to our plans?
Proverbs 16:9
A man's mind plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps and makes them sure.
