Jesus was angry when He saw the house of God was made into a market place; He turned the moneychangers’ tables and made a mess at the temple. This is the most violent we have read about Jesus and it is quite uncharacteristic of His loving nature. However, He did not stay mad, He made His point once and He moved on into the house of God to pray and worship His Father.
Jesus gave us His example. He also showed us that getting mad is a natural reaction but staying mad is self inflicted.
After we throw tantrum, vent or have a lengthy 'self pity' moments to friends and families about our bad day, do we turn to God? Or we are still busy 'turning tables' and 'making points'?
Let’s follow Jesus’ example and be led forth in peace instead of remaining in anger.
Ephesians 4:26
In your anger do not sin": Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.
