In my car, I have an old GPS (Global Positioning System). Despite the many times it has helped me find the right way, it sometimes still manages to bring me to wrong places or lead me through the longest route. Due to that, I often ignore its guidance once it has brought me to the road I’m familiar with.
However, I find myself amazed with this little device. Everytime I make a different turn against its leading, it accepts the detour and recalculates an alternative route instead of emphasizing a U turn.
As a Christian, having such flexible attitude towards the detours in our plans will enable us to have a joyful journey in every season in our lives. At the end of every season of our lives, God has already set a destination for us. Do not get upset and emphasize on a U turn because your route is not necessarily the best or the right one.
We don’t always have the best answers in life but God knows exactly where to lead us. Let Him decide which road or path that is the best for you and me. Let Him lead you.
