I’m always comforted at how transparent the Bible Heroes spoke of their own struggle. In the Bible, we could read how David expressed himself in Psalm 25 spoke of their own struggle. In the Bible, we could read how David expressed himself in Psalm 25, “the troubles of my heart have multiplied… my enemies have increased.” David spoke of loneliness, anguish, affliction, distress and even fear.
Any form of leaderships will always involve opposition and where there are open doors or blessings, there will always be critics or troubles ready to derail your determination. David, being the wise leader he is, he prayed to the Lord to guard and rescue Him (Psalm 25:20) for the Lord is his refuge. David upholds the integrity and uprightness that the Lord could bring to one’s life.
May we always seek the Lord to enable us to do the right thing regardless what our critics or other people think or say of us. Lord, help us to do the right thing when we are faced with oppositions for You are our Refuge. Lead us according to Your wisdom. Amen.

Guard my life and rescue me; do not let me be put to shame, for I take refuge in you. May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope, Lord, is in you.
