You can get many different varieties of swords. We have seen them used to cut down trees and for farming. We hardly see them in combat now but a sword, if wielded correctly, can be a very lethal weapon. With one movement, a sword can separate a limb from a body. They were made for one on one battle. When you wield a sword you make a decision as to whom you are going to attack. You have to decide what you are going to do with it.
We have access to a weapon that is sharper than a doubled-edged sword that cuts through joints and marrow! But our sword cuts more than the physical things... the sword that we wield divides the soul and the spirit and judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
The sword that we wield is the Word of God! We don't fight a physical opponent but a spiritual one. We need to know the full extent or power of the weapon we have. It not only takes down the enemy but helps us is our daily walk and battle. It divides and judges and therefore helps us to get rid of the hardness that we may have in our lives and helps us to grow. It's a weapon that we cannot live without! Read it, apply it and decided daily what you are doing to do with your weapon!
