One of David’s lowest points of his journey was when he was fleeing from King Saul. He had no choice but to try his chance at finding help with a neighboring King. However, when that plan didn’t work out, David's Plan C was to escape by pretending to be a madman! What a difficult, unpredictable and fearful time it must have been. Yet, Psalms 34 shows the fruit produced during this testing time in David's life: “I will bless the Lord at all times…”
We too may go through similar patterns in our lives; a God-inspired calling or anointing, victories are followed by valleys of running and hiding, perhaps from disappointment, disillusionment or hopelessness. Yet, let’s turn these challenging times into times where our lives bring out the gold. Magnify the Lord together with me, let His praise continually be in our mouths. He delivers and continues to deliver and He will come through!
Psalms 34 I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My life makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble and afflicted hear and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together. I sought (inquired of) the Lord and required Him [of necessity and on the authority of His Word], and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
