Whilst I’m blessed to be given the opportunity to encourage, I sometimes ponder if there are more that I can do besides offering comforting words to the broken hearts. Apart from words, what could I do for a person who is going through a broken marriage or someone who has just been told that their loved one has only a few months to live? Or a mother who almost lost her child to a suicide?
My heart is burdened but my words are limited, so as my experience to offer comfort. In times like these, I’m reminded God is still on the throne. He is the all-powerful and knowing God who orchestrates every single events in life with a purpose. Whilst you may not know what to do or say, you know you can intercede in prayers.
There is nothing you can do in your power but remember the all powerful One who could do something for them; be it the strength for them to persevere, peace to flood their hearts or a jaw dropping miracle to a transformation of heart, surrender all to God. Do your part and intercede for God’s will to be done in their life. Never underestimate the power of prayer and how it can minister to others for whom you are praying for.
If you are reading this, please say a short prayer for these anonymous unnamed people as well. Thank you for your kindness and God bless you.
James 5:16
The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
