Have you ever been so hot and thirsty and just wanted a nice cold drink? As the weather turns towards summer, my outdoor runs start feeling like sauna sessions accompanied by rivers of salty sweat.
I find my mind suddenly strangely fascinated by cold water, crunchy ice, frozen coke, ice frappes, and oh how I long for ice cream on a cone, ice cream in a cup, ice cream in a tub!
During this Christmas season we may caught up with events, parties and goodness-knows-what. Amid all this, our spiritual journey may too suffer seasons of dryness, and all we want is a lovely, nice drink! But let's let Christ lead us continually into His place of peace, let Him restore and refresh our souls with His presence. Let Him satisfy is completely, whether in the big or in the small parts of our lives!
Psalm 23:2, 3 NIV
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.
