So how do you fight the enemy in the hard times? Praise! If you attend church you might have had someone tell you to “Praise Him in the trials” or something along those lines and quite frankly, it’s the last things you want to hear: someone telling you how to feel better about your situation!
But take Paul’s advice: “Finally my brothers, rejoice in the Lord!”(Philippians 3:1) Praising God in the depths of trials, sickness, despair and heart-ache disarms the enemy’s ability to steal, kill and destroy: steal your joy, kill your hope and destroy your destiny. Praising God helps you to turn your eyes from yourself to Him- where your strength in trials resides.
Philippians 4:12-13
