When we are surrounded by darkness, we seek light the most; we want direction and illumination. Darkness may remind us of oppression, fear, sense of lost, loneliness and even burdensome needs. Only light pushes away that feeling; it provides relief.
Let’s be reminded of what is good, worthy and truthful by shining through our darkened circumstances. Just as the flashlight draw its source of power from its batteries, we draw power from God during the dark times. Don’t keep our switch off as though our batteries have run down.
Being switched on pleases God. May you stay on, stay bright.
Ephesians 5:8
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.
