Yes, He is not able to not love. God is love and He loves us regardless how we choose to respond to His love for He can't deny Himself. The Omnipotent God who created the universe and everything else that we see, wears His heart on the sleeve and He pursues us relentlessly.
King David voiced his awe in Psalm 8: 4 - 6, “who we are that you are so mindful of us?... You have made them a little lower than angels and crowned them with glory and honor… You put everything under their feet.” What a heavenly reflection of God’s love for us. God has bestowed Heaven’s royalty upon us and He has made all principalities and powers subject to us.
The fact that we could reject God’s selfless love towards us shows how much authority and freedom He has bestowed upon us. He longs for us to return His love with our whole heart willingly; not through brute force. God’s love for us is as expansive as His open arms on the cross. His enduring compassion will never fail. His profession of love for us is not just mere words; He has applied it in actions.
Like King David, we too could voice our awe to the love God has for us. Let us rejoice and be comforted for Jesus’ love for us is enduring and faithful.
Psalm 8:4-6
What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet
