Notice how God dealt with sin in the Old Testament. The priest generally took an animal sacrifice, shed its blood and offered it on the altar. After the sacrificial ceremony, a person’s sin will be atoned and their guilt will be removed.
At Calvary, Jesus was both our High Priest and sacrificial lamb. When He cried, ‘It’s finished,’ your sins were paid for – from the cradle to grave. And at the minute you trust in Jesus Christ as your savior, you are made righteous. So today, if the devil is beating you up because of your faults and failures, tell him: ‘I may not be perfect but I’m redeemed, loved and accepted by God!’
