When we step up to the tee, we intend to drive our golf balls down the green fairway or maybe, just maybe, make a hole in one but we find ourselves in the sand trap now and then. Getting out of the sand trap takes perseverance, especially for a beginner like me.
According to apostle Paul, perseverance builds our character and strengthens our hope in HIM who is able. To persevere doesn’t mean you don’t feel like giving up, it doesn’t mean your won't do any wrong things, it just mean looking forward towards the finish line with faith on what God can do, not what you can do to make things happen.
So when you find yourself in the ‘sand trap’, there is hope. Don't give up.
Keep your focus on the ONE who is able and persevere towards your goal. Maybe you will need to take a few swings at the ball but rest assured, you will definitely reach the ‘putting green’.
Roman 5:3-4
Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.
