Super heroes. What is it about them?
Every boy wants to be one! I wanted to be Superman, Batman, The Flash and the list goes on.
Boys would slash the bushes with their plastic swords pretending that they have slayed the evil dragon or jump from the highest place to the ground hoping that they could fly. Why do we want to be super heroes? Could it be, they appear invincible? Could it be because of all that fascinating powers they have? Could it be, you are just searching for a role model, a saviour?
Well, Jesus too is a super hero. He walked on water, calmed a raging storm, healed people, called the dead to live and even death could not hold Him down. He is The role model you could look up to and imitate upon.
The world may tell you that you need to be somebody else to be someone significant; to be a hero. Jesus says otherwise. The Almighty and powerful One tells you that you are loved; He sees you and accepts you.
We may not be invincible but we are invincible when He is with us. We may not have the supreme power we want but we are more than a conqueror when He is with us. Jesus will slay the evil dragon for you, He will carry you to soar above the storm; He will lift you up. Jesus is The Super Hero; He is The true Saviour of all time.
Romans 10:9
That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.
