Unbelievers caught in the entrapment of worldliness will think Christian rituals are weird. Be patient with them; if they don't understand our Christian values, they will fear it and pass judgement on 'how' and 'why' you do certain things. Do not be defensive, Jesus was rejected due to HIS belief and actions but HE did not get disheartened.
This verse encourages us to don't let those people throw us off course. Our promise and substance is found in Jesus alone.
Colossians 2: 16 -17
Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.
