
The bible tells of a woman who was bleeding for 12 years. She had spent all her money on doctors and medical treatment trying to get well. She must have been waiting for a change as year after year went by. At last, Jesus arrived on the scene. At her wits end, she pushed through the crowd and reached desperately and managed to touch just the corner of his garment. And, to her amazement, she immediately was healed!
Sometimes, change doesn't arrive until we are at the end of ourselves. That's when we are ready to push through the crowd of disbelief, fear and self. Then we truly allow ourselves to be transformed by letting Christ words have their way in our life! It's having our thinking fixed on what is above, on things that are pure, lovely, praise-worthy... That's when change comes!
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. (Philippians 4:8 NIV)
