Unlike graphite, diamond is naturally formed under extremely high temperature and high pressure environment found at depths of around 150km under the Earth's surface over a long period of time.
Like a diamond, the characteristics and attitudes in our life of most eternal value are developed under tension. Love our enemies, joy in the midst of sorrow, give and we will be given, hope in the wilderness, faith in the face impossibility, strength in our weakness!
It is during these seasons of tension that Christ becomes formed in us. He transforms what would be the plain graphite in our lives into something of great beauty, strength and with an eternal legacy.
Romans 8:18
I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
