Throughout the week or even the day, there are many things seeking to tell us who we are supposed to be... Ads on TV that say we need to lose weight or buff up, wear make-up or the right clothes to look better, keep in with new gadgets, or own that European car and dream home, or have a succeessful career. It may even be well-meaning expectations from family or friends, criticisms from others or even self-doubt.
Therefore, we daily need to understand, refresh and remember who we truly are in Christ - to be true to our true selves!
Here are some reminders we can stand on:
- I have the fullness of Christ, who is the head of every power and authority (Col 2:9-10)
- I am justified and I have the peace of God (Rom 5:1)
- I am confident God will complete the good work He started in me (Phil 1:6)
- I have been chosen and appointed to bear fruit (John 15:16)
- I am a child of God who always triumphs in Christ and releases His fragrance in every place (2 cor 2:14)
- I am a recipient of every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places (Eph 1:3)
