Many of us are worried about our basic needs such as money, companionship, stability and job.We spend a lot of time thinking about our needs and working to accomplish our goals in life. The Devil often utilises our worries to build a stronghold in our minds.
In this brand new year, let us remember once again that the Lord knows what we need. He wants us to live a victorious and glorious life. But His first commandment is that we love Him and delight ourselves in Him, this is what He wants.
Abandoning our first love for the Lord and spending much time to worry about our lives is not something that delights the Lord. We need to love the Lord by delighting in Him, trusting in His faithfulness and letting His word renew our minds day by day. This practice will cause us to be filled with God's strength, His power and joy.
Mark 12:30
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

But I have this against you: You have abandoned your first love.
