The Bible speaks confidently about our ability to be directive about the type of thoughts our mind holds onto. We need to develop the spiritual practice of ‘observing’ our thoughts and retaining the right to choose whether we will ‘become’ those thoughts.
Philippians 4:8-9 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things.
