This practice has influenced and wired us as a person with the need to be in control of everything. So what happen if you are not in control during your present trial?
Generally, we tend to respond in two extremes – the more out of control things seems, the harder you try to control it or the total opposite of it is giving up and have a pity party. Both ways do not work for me, I’m sure it doesn’t to you too. A prayer of surrender however, has been always a breath of fresh air. It can simply start as “God, I’m giving up control, because you can control the things that are out of control.”
When we try harder, we are trying to control things that only God can control, we get tired and frustrated. Let go of control and trust when we surrender to God’s will in our lives, He will make things right. You stay in control when you know Who is in control. Receive His peace.
John 14:27
Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid.
